Zorro / Four Color Comics v2 #933 - Alex Toth art

Zorro FC #933
Walt Disney's Zorro / Four Color Comics v2 #933, 1958 - A portly police sergeant goes undercover to ferret out Zorro's secret identity. Alex Toth opens with a large, spacious panel of the hero within an elegant composition. Unfortunately, from there the art falters, becoming looser and less defined. Characters' faces are especially lacking, suffering from minimal and poorly applied strokes. Of Toth's three stories, "Little Zorro" shows the most artistic effort. These stories were later reprinted in Zorro v2 #8. Photo cover. This is 3 of 8 Zorro issues by Toth. /// Toth gallery
